Prof Ching Wan Tang awarded the Kyoto Prize in Advanced Technology 2019
Prof Ching Wan Tang, Founding Member of ASHK, was awarded the 2019 Kyoto Prize in Advanced Technology in recognition of his pioneering contribution to high efficiency organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). His invention, OLED, has been widely applied in displays and lighting such as smartphone and television. The 2019 Kyoto Prize Presentation Ceremony was held in Kyoto, Japan, on 10 November, 2019.

The Kyoto Prize is an international award from the Inamori Foundation, Kyoto, Japan, to honor those who have contributed significantly to the scientific, cultural, and spiritual betterment of mankind.
