Prof Chi-Chih YAO named the 2021 Kyoto Prize Laureate in Advanced Technology
Prof Chi-Chih YAO, Founding Member of The Hong Kong Academy of Sciences, is named the 2021 Laureate of Kyoto Prize in Advanced Technology in recognition of his pioneering contribution to a new theory of computation and communication and a fundamental theory for its security.
About the Kyoto Prize
The Kyoto Prize is an international award from the Inamori Foundation, Kyoto, Japan, to honor those who have contributed significantly to the scientific, cultural, and spiritual betterment of mankind. The Prize is presented annually in each of the following three categories: Advanced Technology, Basic Sciences, and Arts and Philosophy.
